Easton’s Run from the Radio have spent their first three years as a band growing and changing. Early in the band’s life, guitarist Chris Kennedy and bassist Brady Marucci-DiPippa worked to find the right line-up of musicians for their alternative/punk hybrid. After some initial line-up shuffles, the band emerged as a five-piece with the addition of fellow guitarist James Ritchie, drummer Alberto Valenzuela, and singer Mitchell Kresge. What followed was the band’s first single, “Desperate Times,” recorded with Matt Molchany at Shards as the band preps their debut full-length album, due out in later in 2019.
It’s at this watershed moment for the band that the members of Run from the Radio (minus bassist Brady Marucci-DiPippa who had to work) joined us on the Cigar Factory’s roof in June 2019. The band enjoyed a clear, sunny day to perform live. We also talked with the band about their beginnings, musical influences, experiences playing live, and more.
